In the true spirit of protecting serving, the Wasbank SAPS and the ICE Charity Foundation joined forces to raise R10 000 to buy much-needed school uniforms for 30 disadvantaged school children.
The Wasbank SAPS recognised the great need among children at Boschkloof Primary School where there are 407 learners, including 24 in the Grade R class.
Shaheer Joosub, of ICE, said the police at once realised that many of the children are from families who simply do not have the means to buy uniforms for their learners.
“With winter around the corner, this is a desperate need. We appeal to our donors to help raise the money. With R10 000 we will be able to help 30 schoolchildren will have new uniforms just in time for the winter term, “ said Shaheer.
“With more than 3 years working with children, we are at the precipice of creating lasting change for children and their families through our funding and development initiatives.
