Strictly no liquor at Winter Challenge

With excitement brewing for the Endumeni Winter Sports Challenge at Kallies Stadium (May 5-8), organiser, Ash Khan, has warned that liquor will not be allowed to be brought into the premises.
The annual event will see a packed programme with a special day (May 5) for children who will have a chance to enjoy the many rides on offer.
Various local companies will pit their football skills against each other while for spectators, there is a rare chance to see some living boxing when a team of Gauteng boxers come up against some local pugilists.
Mr Khan said he had taken note of the concerns of sponsors regarding the consumption of liquor.
“In previous years, liquor was brought in and this year we have decided to clamp down.
This is a major event and I thank the sponsors for bringing to the fore their concerns.
We will try to the best of our ability not to allow liquor into the ground. School children will be at the event and we do not want to expose them to alcohol.”
He said security would be strict and right of admission reserved.
