Community mourns death of beloved doctor
Newcastillians pay tribute to Dr Hansen
Dr Quinton Hansen was known for his professional manner and kindness.
So said residents of Newcastle this week, after the beloved general practitioner passed away. Dr Hansen had a triple heart bypass earlier this month.
His memorial service will take place on April 28 at the Grace Community Church from 11am.

Petro Fourie – Heartfelt sympathy to Shona, family and friends. I agree with Hettie that Dr Hansen was one of Newcastle’s iconic heroes. I have not seen him in 12 years since living in Bloemfontein, but remember all his advice and especially assistance during my son’s birth. He has gone too soon.

Alicia Nienaber – Beste dokter waarby ek nog ooit was, selfs na 20 jaar in Centurion. Kon darem n kwaal vasvat en uitsorteer sommer met die intrapslag by hom. Nooit nodig gehad vir n 2e besoek. Altyd moeite gedoen met ons as kinders, sommer jou kiem onder d mikroskoop vir jou gewys…of n prentjie of model byderhand gehad en jou so verduidelik wat met jou aangaan. Hy was so goed en selfs beter as baie spesialiste daar buite. Dink aan sy familie en vriende deur hierdie moeilike tyd.
Yashveer Singh – A great doctor. Best in Newcastle. The gods choose the best people . Whenever i was sick he healed me, never went back for the same sickness – now thats a real doctor. Highly devoted doctor. His exellency will not be forgotten. He wont be forgotten he will live in the hearts of the people because he was a humble friendly man with great values, the loss is great. His existance was worthy to the community. RIP. May the GOD of all gods bless him
