Acting on information received, police arrested two men with unlicensed pistols in the Ezakheni area in the early hours of Monday morning.
The first suspect, aged 18, was arrested in E-Section. He was found in possession of an unlicensed pistol and ammunition.
The second suspect, aged 32, was also found in possession of an unlicensed pistol and ammunition.
Both men have appeared in the Ezakheni Magistrate’s Court.
The firearms will be sent for Forensic Ballistic Laboratory testing to ascertain whether they have been used in the commission of any offences in the country.
