Incompetence in progress…

Sign in a hole warns of municipal incompetence

An email sent in to us from an anonymous source not only shows the state of the road and the consequent danger to motorists in Residency Road, but also just what one resident thinks of the competency of our local municipality…

From the photo, we can see that one lane in Residency Road is closed due to a hole that was dug in the middle of the road. There is warning tape around the hole, but what makes it slightly unusual is that someone appears to have printed a sign of their own which reads “Incompetence In Progress”. This sign has been placed within the warning tape and looks very official.

The tar that has been dug up has been placed next to the hole, which could easily damage a vehicle if driven over.

Question is: What does the municipality think of the new brand of signage in town?
