Update: Faulty cable results in no water
The problem is receiving urgent attention by Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality
A faulty electrical cable has resulted in certain areas experiencing interruptions in their water supply today (Thursday).
uThukela District Municipality would like to inform community members residing in Roosboom, Van Riebeeck Park, Hospital Park, Provincial Hospital, Prison, Old Golf Course and CBD that their water supply will be affected.
This is due to a faulty electricity cable supplying Ladysmith Waterworks.
The problem is receiving urgent attention by Emnambithi/Ladysmith Municipality. Municipal officials will inform uThukela of developments in due course.
uThukela District Municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused.
