Update: Municipality has no available venue for EFF meeting?
Public Safety and police will be on high alert tomorrow, making sure no violence takes place
After coming out of a meeting with Emnambithi/Ladysmith municipal officials, EFF members are uncertain of the venue for tomorrow’s meeting.
According to a source, the municipality has no venue available for the EFF meeting which is set to take place tomorrow at 2pm.
“All municipal venues have been conveniently booked. In this way, the ANC-dominated local municipality has attempted to block the EFF from hosting a meeting in town,” said a party supporter.
At this stage, the EFF meeting will still go ahead at the Kandahar Grounds say EFF officials.
The EFF claims that the local municipality is deliberately hosting an ‘ANC Day’ at the same time as their proposed meeting, showing that this town is in the grip of the ANC and there is no space for opposition parties to make their mark.
