Truck goes ‘jay-walking’ on the pavement
The traffic police were called in but at this stage it is not clear if the driver was fined.

Graham Morgan nearly had an early morning customer at his dry cleaners on Gladstone Street on Friday that he certainly wasn’t expecting.
An articulated cooldrink truck drove on to the sidewalk, ripping up the paving, after narrowly missing taking out the pillars in front of his shop. This happened while the driver of the ND registered truck was attempting to do a U-turn to get to the loading zone adjacent to the Methodist Church.
The nonchalant driver pulled over and started off loading his load for Spar. The traffic police were called in and it was later learnt that the company had agreed to pay for the damages.
