Teams pulled a huge gun through Murchison Street to see who could clock the best time and emerge as the winner
As part of the annual Battlefields Festival, the Community Gun-Run took place yesterday (Saturday).
Teams pulled a huge gun through Murchison Street to see who could clock the best time and emerge as the winner.
The event started at around 1pm and ended at 4pm.
Public Safety made sure that the teams and motorists were safe while the ‘run’ was taking place.
A huge crowd of spectators gathered to watch the brave teams puffing and panting as they hauled the massive gun along, in imitation of what was done during the Anglo-Boer War of 1899-1902.
