Residents fix potholes themselves
Since the new roads leading to Ezakheni have been opened, the roads in Acaciavale and Aloe Park have deteriorated drastically

Getting down and dirty on the campaign trail, community activist RG Reddy was spotted filling potholes in Coleus Drive last week. He was soon followed by neighbour Arif Motala, who also filled a pothole in front of another resident’s house. Since the new roads leading to Ezakheni have been opened, the roads in the Acaciavale and Aloe Park areas have deteriorated drastically.
Trucks are using these roads daily, damaging the surface and creating potholes.
“It’s like driving in the rural areas, having a bumpy ride and damaging our vehicles,” said a frustrated motorist.
