Learners, teachers and parents are urged to support the scholar blood donor clinic, which the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) will be hosting.
With it being winter, many regular donors have the ‘flu and are unable to donate, which results in very low blood supply. You are encouraged to donate if you have not recently had the ‘flu, lead a healthy lifestyle, weigh 50kgs or more and are 16-years or older.
The SANBS team will stop at Drakensberg Secondary School on Tuesday, August 2 from 9.30am to 2pm.
They will visit Estcourt Secondary School on Thursday, August 4 from 9.30am to 2pm.
And lastly Estcourt High School on Wednesday, August 10 from 9.30am to 2pm.
All those willing to attend are encouraged to have a meal and keep hydrated before donating.
