The potholed and severely damaged road surface in 12th Street is an eyesore that has been plaguing the area for years. Most of the damage stems from burst water pipes.

The road surface was dug up for repairs but never repaired. A large section of the road is so badly damaged that the street is narrowed down to one lane, which drives frustration and congestion up.

Several residents have in the past complained via the Estcourt News, in the hope that municipal officials would repair this street in Forderville.

However, no positive response has been received and a resident has again complained, calling the street ‘pathetic’.

“Where do we drive?” asked a concerned resident, while calling on the new Ward Councillor to address the road repair and suggest a way forward.
