Israelis have answers for KZN’s drought-stricken farmers

They are able to teach how to save water in arid conditions

The Israeli Embassy is presenting an agri-seminar in Durban next week Wednesday (August 24).

Following the success of the previous agri-seminars in the Eastern Cape, Mpumalanga and the Western Cape, the Embassy of Israel is excited to invite KZN farmers to the first Israeli Agri-Seminar to be held in KwaZulu-Natal.

Israel is a world leader and innovator in agriculture, irrigation and arid area vegetation.

This event will offer local business leaders and farmers the opportunity to learn about Israeli innovations in a wide variety of agriculture techniques and water management.

Topics to be covered include irrigation, climate control, aquaculture, greenhouse technology, dairy farming and technology, undercover farming, poultry, advanced fertilizers, bio-pesticides and control, chemicals and much more.

This special event was designed to be relevant to the agricultural environment of KwaZulu-Natal and there will be ample opportunity for business-to-business meetings.

Keynote speakers will cover a variety of topics and following that, representatives of Israeli agricultural companies will be present and open to one-on-one interactions.

The event will take place on the 24th of August 2016 in the Durban area, commencing at 09h00. Participation is free of charge but requires pre-registration. To register, please email your ID and cell number to Charmaine Hirshowitz: Charmaine.Hirshowitz@israeltrade.gov.il
