iThubelihle Special School learners treated to memorable day
Sponsors helped give the learners a special day filled with fun, kindness and unforgettable memories.
Children from iThubelihle Special Opportunity School enjoyed a fun-filled day of laughter, excitement and smiles thanks to a group of generous community members and sponsors.
Tim Canham and the sponsors joined hands to give the learners a memorable outing at Rainbow Bird Haven, a family-friendly indoor play centre.
Creating special memories
The outing gave the children an opportunity to enjoy a range of fun activities while spending time in a welcoming and caring environment.
For the learners, the day was about more than just having fun. It was an opportunity to create happy memories and feel valued and appreciated by those around them.
Community support makes a difference
School principal Ms Shabalala expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Canham and the sponsors who helped make the outing possible.
She said she was ‘short of words’ to express her gratitude and that seeing the smiles on the learners’ faces made her day. Canham’s niece and nephew, Nabii and Nailahs, also got involved by helping prepare party packs for the children. Rudolph Carey added to the generosity by donating stationery.
The day served as a reminder of the difference a community can make when people come together to bring happiness and support to others.
