DHS cricket teams bowl out with amazing performances

Die DHS krieketspanne het hierdie week weer ‘n goeie week beleef. Die o/15 span het Woensdag, 17 Augustus, teen ‘n gekombineerde span van Vryheid Landbou gespeel. Na ‘n goeie kolfvertoning deur DHS se toporde het DHS die knoop deurgehaak en met 63 lopies gewen. The first team played against Ladysmith Secondary on August 18, sporting their new kit. In a dominant display of batting and a partnership of well over a hundred runs, Brandon Grondein and Mohammed Abdullah piled on the runs. The bowling and fielding performance capped off a good day with DHS winning by 163 runs.

Edrich Nortjé bereik nuwe hoogtes
DHS is trots om aan te kondig dat Edrich Nortjé die Suid-Afrikaanse Kadet Span vir stoei behaal het. Hy vertrek 10 September na Georgia – Amerika – om sy talent daar te beoefen. DHS is ongelooflik trots op hierdie jong man wat weereens bewys dat passie en harde werk mens ver in die lewe kan kry.
Gospel Choir performs in Pietermaritzburg
On August 18, an excited Gospel Choir travelled to Pietermaritzburg to take part in the Gospel Choir Evening Concert. They performed exceptionally well. The wedding song ‘Emarabini’ was the hit of the evening. The audience enjoyed it so much that they danced along with the choir during the performance. Mrs Madondo – teacher in charge – commented that these learners held the DHS name high with their outstanding voices against choirs that were considerably larger than them. Well done to the DHS Gospel choir.
