Update: Shots fired along Pieters/Colenso road
According to the latest information, nobody was shot during the robbery
Police are investigating a case of robbery after a shooting along the Pieters/Colenso road earlier today (Tuesday).
This morning, the occupants of a red Golf GTI with no registration plates fired shots at a Kia truck, resulting in the truck overturning at the side of the road.
The robbers assaulted the occupants and robbed them of their cash before fleeing the scene.
According to the latest information, nobody was shot during the robbery as initially reported.
Police, EMRS and ER24 were on scene.
The occupants of the truck were treated for injuries sustained during the assault.
Police are hunting for the suspects.
