Watch: As heavily-armed robbers open fire in quiet Bergville street

Exclusive video of gunmen taking over street during robbery on Thursday

4 suspects have been arrested after a supermarket in Bergville was robbed twice in less than a week.

A Chinese man sustained gunshot wounds in Thursday’s robbery after men armed with rifles barged into his store.

An exclusive video shows the men brandishing firearms and firing indiscriminately.

The video also shows how one of the gunmen attempts to hijack a white Toyota Corolla. The driver of the vehicle simply reverses away while being shot at.

This is the same store that was targeted on Sunday morning when about eight gunmen assaulted a Chinese national and fired shots in the direction of others at the business.

Crime Intelligence Gathering (CIG) and K9 Unit officers made the arrests.

It is believed that some of those arrested are employees of a security company.

It is unclear at this stage if the company’s weapons were used during the robbery.

Police are still hunting for the rest of the gang, who are considered to be heavily-armed and dangerous.
