Cansa Relay kicks off

Cancer survivors, caregivers, teams and well-wishers lined up at the start at the Forderville Primary School athletic track at 10am to begin another 24-hour Relay

The atmosphere is festive and community spirit is tangible in the air as the eighth annual Cansa Relay for Life kicked off this morning.

Cancer survivors, caregivers, teams and well-wishers lined up at the start at the Forderville Primary School athletic track at 10am to begin another 24-hour Relay.

Survivors had the honour to start the Relay and they were applauded by the team members for their strength.

With temperatures peaking in the high 20s, Relayers were advised to keep well hydrated.

There are plenty of activities to look forward to during the day, so make your way to the track and go the distance to support the fight against cancer.
