Fusion Youth Academy needs your support

In attendance at the launch was close family and friends who said jointly they will continue to support Karell

The official opening of the Fusion Youth Academy did not go as planned. Karell Moonsamy (17) came up with the idea of opening up a academy for youth. She bubbled over with excitement nearing the official launch day, Saturday, August 27 only to be hugely disappointed.

Living in a time where so many young people choose the path of destruction, which often involves substance abuse, she decided to support other young people and get them involved in all sorts of youthful activities to get them back on track.

Sadly the community of Estcourt did not support the event. In attendance at the launch was close family and friends who said jointly they will continue to support Karell.

“It is sad that the turnout was so poor, yet parents with troubled youth complain that there is no help, now that there is; no support is shown,” said her parents, Mr and Mrs Moonsamy.

Those present enjoyed cake and received gifts in celebration of the Fusion Youth Academy. After initial disappointment, Karell will continue to run the Fusion Youth Academy.

On behalf of Karell, Desiree Moonsamy would like to thank the few who did attend and showed their support.  For more information regarding regular meetings, affiliation fees and youth activities, contact Karell Moonsamy on 076 1627 978.
