Fantastic support at Spring tournament
THE Vryheid Bowling Club Annual Spring Tournament was well contested on September 2 and 3, with 16 teams from St Lucia, Eshowe, Dundee, Newcastle, Volksrust and Vryheid taking part.

THE Vryheid Bowling Club Annual Spring Tournament was well contested on September 2 and 3, with 16 teams from St Lucia, Eshowe, Dundee, Newcastle, Volksrust and Vryheid taking part.
Competition was keen with excellent bowls being played in good bowling spirit and glorious sunny weather.
The winning team was Tony de Pooter, Gerhard Smith, John Servulo and Joao Servulo from Volksrust. Runners up were Phillip Scheepers, Sid Price, John Cross and Nolan Malan. Third place went to Robbie Pretorious, Thys Calitz, Nellie Pretorius and Kobie Calitz.
The club expresses its sincere appreciation to all the sponsors, the players, those who provided food and those who helped in any way. Without all of you, the tournament could not have taken place. Thank you, good bowling and we hope to see you all back again next year!
