Project Life learners and their family members were invited as guests of honour to the Empathy Family Day held in Howick on Saturday, September 3. The much-anticipated outing finally arrived.
Along with the Sunfield Homes team, Umgeni Rehabilitation Hospital, bikers and the Howick community the day was fun filled with lots to see, do and win. For some, being at arm’s length from the motorbikes was a highlight, while for others getting to rub shoulders with the special needs band, The Unfortgettables, was a treat.
A whopping R2 545 was raised in donations. The Project Life team would like to pass a heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and who generously sponsored items to make the day both successful and memorable. The day was plenty of fun for all who attended; the outing will forever be etched in the hearts of Project Life’s special needs students.
