Residents have service delivery concerns

Marcus Sukram from Forderville is making an appeal to the municipality to turn their attention to the deteriorating road

A deep and expanding pothole in Forderville has sparked concern. A resident from the area has been keeping an eye on the pothole and after months of neglect has decided to speak out.

The deep pothole is situated in Fourth Avenue, close to a speed hump. The width of the pothole is so large that two vehicles cannot pass by at the same time.

Marcus Sukram from Forderville is making an appeal to the municipality to turn their attention to the deteriorating road.

“Why are our leaders not addressing such crucial problem factors? Vehicles driving over the pothole certainly suppresses the surface, causing it to deepen further, ” he commented.

He also calls on residents to speak up about service delivery problems.

“Silence prevails in our community. We rather suffer in the dark, than go out into the light of emancipation. Speak out, this is a democratic country, your dissatisfaction and complaints must be addressed,” added Mr Sukram.
