Cornfields Primary cares for the planet

Five trees were donated and planted including the national Yellowwood tree

Cornfields Primary School celebrated Heritage Day together with Arbour Week on Wednesday, September 28.

The school’s Culture Committee planned that educators and learners wear traditional attire to observe the day and bring home made traditional food.

The day was graced by the presence of two representatives from the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism.

They presented a talk to the learners about the importance of looking after the environment and also planted trees.

Five trees were donated and planted including the national Yellowwood tree. The school’s Principal, management team, governing body and Culture Committee would like to thank the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism for making the day a success.
