Update: Over 20 heavily-armed robbers hunted by police

Tactical Response Team (TRT) and K9 Unit officers have launched a massive manhunt for the heavily-armed robbers that robbed a cigarette truck this morning (October 14) in the Weenen / Muden area.
Latest information indicates that the truck was being escorted by two other vehicles when the armed robbery occurred.
The vehicles were forced off the road by the robbers, who were travelling in a Hyundai H100, a Toyota Quantum and an Audi with tinted windows.
The thugs, armed with rifles, assaulted the security guards in the convoy, before shooting two of them in the legs. The gang of over 20 men then helped themselves to cigarettes and cash from the truck. The security guards’ firearms were also stolen.
The injured guards were taken to hospital.
