Cargo falls on car at Bellspruit Bridge

Due to the height of the bridge, the truck could not fit through and the cargo was ripped off the back

An accident took place this morning (October 20) at Bellspruit Bridge in Shepstone Road, where a truck’s cargo fell off on top of a car that was travelling behind it.

Due to the height of the bridge, which is 3.9 metres, the truck could not fit through and the cargo was ripped off the back, crashing down onto a car.

One person sustained moderate injuries and was treated by EMRS before being transported to hospital.

ER24, traffic officers and towing personnel were also on scene.
