Bhekuzulu residents demand answers regarding water

BHEKUZULU residents took to the streets on Friday last week to voice their complaints to the AbaQulusi Municipality.

These community members headed to the municipal offices to hand over a memorandum with their grievances, many of which surround water issues.

According to these community members, there have been numerous days on which water is not delivered in Bhekuzulu.

The community members demanded that further investigations be done to locate underground water.

On top of these, the community members demanded that further investigations be done on allegations that the AbaQulusi Mayor Cllr Martin Mtshali is still an employee of the Department of Education.

The memorandum was received and signed by the acting manager of Public Safety Kumarin Naicker.

The community members gave the municipality seven working days to respond to their demands.
