Update: Police provide alternative number to use

Ladysmith and Ezakheni police stations are currently facing a telephone connection problem whereby people cannot reach the police when they try to call.
The SAPS have issued an alternative number people can call to lay complaints or report a crime.
The alternative number will only be available until 6pm, as police hope the problem will be fixed by then. If not, they will issue another alternative number.

Police have requested that this number be used to lay complaints or report crimes only; not for any other reason.
