Update: Police phone lines are back up
The problem has now been dealt with and the 10111 number is operational
Ezakheni and Ladysmith police stations were experiencing technical difficulties with their land-lines and toll-free numbers yesterday (October 23).
People calling in to report crimes or lay complaints could not get through, and an alternative number was provided.
The problem has now been dealt with and the 10111 emergency number is operational once again.
Police have requested that people not use the alternative number anymore, as the land-line is now working.
