Man jailed for 18 years for murdering brother-in-law

His brother survived the attack but Mboniseni Mthembu succumbed to his injuries

A man who  stabbed to death his brother-in-law after a family quarrel has been jailed for 18 years. The Dundee Regional Court heard how Sipho Vincent Dlamini (32) of Sunshine Farm on the Nquthu road had quarreled with his brother-in-law, Mboniseni Mthembu (31), also of Sunshine Farm, two days before the murder on October 3 2015.

The quarrel appeared to have escalated when Dlamini came back to their homestead and stabbed Mr Mthembu and his brother.  The brother survived but Mr Mthembu succumbed to his injuries.

Dlamini was later arrested and charged.  The case was investigated by Detective Warrant Officer Antony Nkabindi.
