BREAKING NEWS: Armed robbers on the run
Residents have warned to stay indoors, as the suspects are armed.
PIONEER PARK – It’s been confirmed an armed robbery took place in Pioneer Park earlier this evening.
According to unofficial sources, the robbers targeted a local shop, before fleeing the scene.

At this stage, it is uncertain of the suspects managed to make off with any cash and/or valuables.
Members of Newcastle 911 Policing have cautioned residents to be alert and stay indoors, as the suspects are armed and have fired several shots in their attempts to escape.
A resident has indicated on social media that his daughter was shot in the foot during the robbery.
