Man accused of raping, killing friend’s girlfriend to make Court appearance
He dragged her body back to her boyfriend’s house and left the corpse at the door
A man who took advantage of a drinking spree to rape and murder a friend’s girlfriend is to appear in the Dannhauser Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
Sbusiso Msibi (37) of Koppie Allen Farm, Dannhauser, stands accused of killing Nqobile Mlangeni (25) during a drinking session at a friend’s home on October 23.
It is alleged that Mr Msibi and a group of friend were drinking alcohol when one of the friends fell asleep.
It is further alleged that the accused took Nqobile to his house where he raped and killed her.
Later, he dragged her body back to her boyfriend’s house and dumped her corpse at the door. Police were called to the scene and the bloodstains led them to Mr Msibi’s house where he was arrested.
Police said during questioning, Mr Msibi admitted to the crime. Bloodstain clothes allegedly worn by him while carrying out the crime were also recovered from his house, said police spokesman, Sgt ML Nyembe.
