With the constant rains and warmer days, growth of verges exceeds. We asked Inkosi Langalibalele Local Municipality about whether their verge cutting programme had kick started, seeing that it was evident that in some areas, the grass growth was increasing.
Unfortunately there has been no response yet from the municipality’s Communication Department at the time of going to print. In the past and in the present too, most residents take on the onus of keeping the area around their property tidy.
Business owners too have taken on this task and in some instances also resort to dumping their own refuse at the landfill site in Mimosadale. How would you rate basic service delivery like refuse removal, street clean-ups, street light replacements, pothole repair, speed hump erection and many others?
