You will be charged if you chain your dogs
Offenders will not get off lightly if they are caught
The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) is appealing to the community to please not chain up their dogs.
This is illegal and offenders will be fined and / or charged if they are found to be doing this.
League workers have gone out for numerous cases in which dogs have been chained up by their owners in Acaciavale and surrounding areas.
“Also make sure your dogs are kept in your premises and are not wandering the streets,” says Annamarie Koen of the AACL.
“Offenders who chain their dogs will not get off lightly if they are caught. Animals also have lives, just like humans, and they deserve to be treated with respect,” adds Annamarie.
