Buffalo River picks up well after recent good rains

The fields are green again after the recent rain

After all the drama of the water outages in Dundee and Glencoe over the past two weeks, the good news is that the Buffalo River has picked up well after the recent rains.

Just over 30mm of rain was measured in the area over the past week.  However, residents were left waterless after two major pipe bursts disrupted supplies in Glencoe town last week and in Dundee over the weekend.

Endumeni is totally reliant on the Buffalo River for its water after the dam levels deteriorated in recent months due to the drought.
