‘We are not satisfied with the roads’

A resident who travels between Weenen and Estcourt frequently voiced his concern about the poor condition of the roads

The potholed surfaces of roads of Estcourt and surrounding areas remain a deep service delivery concern for most residents. Most often potholes are left neglected for months and if repair work is done, more often than not, the pothole resurfaces months, or even weeks later.

A resident who travels between Weenen and Estcourt frequently voiced his concern about the poor condition of the roads.

“We are tired of the road in Weenen. It has potholes everywhere and our cars are being damaged. There are also stones in the road. We are not satisfied with them,” commented the resident.

He added that some Estcourt roads too need to be “sorted out.”
