“Sweetest” husband surprises wife to mark 16 Days of Activism campaign
Dumazi thanked her husband for showing her love and she also urged all other men to show love to their wives.
A day after President Jacob Zuma launched the 16 Days of Activism Campaign of no violence against women and children, a proud husband, Dumsane Ndlovu, threw a surprise 52nd birthday party for his wife, Dumazi Reginah Ndlovu, at Fairbreeze Farm, Dannhauser.
Besides throwing a 52nd surprise birthday party for his wife, the Ndlovus also celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary. Dumazi could not hold back her tears of joy when she came home and found that a tent had been erected for her birthday. More than 100 friends, family members and neighbours gathered at the Ndlovu home to join in the big day celebrations.
Dumsane said: “I decided to throw a surprise birthday party for my wife and mother of my children, Dumazi, to show her how lovely she is.” Dumsane said women and children should be respected and protected. He lambasted all those men who rape young women. “Men should act like men, not like animals. It is disgraceful to hear that a man raped a 78-year-old granny and a six-months-old child.” He also lambasted sugar daddies who lure young girls with fancy cellphones and money to lure them for sex. “Where is humanity amongst men?” he asked. He thanked Dumazi’s mother who gave birth to her.
“The labour pains that her mother felt have brought me the happiness of getting a beautiful and lovely wife,” he said, adding that they have been through many challenges together and managed to conquer them. He said he decided to throw a surprise birthday party to show her how blessed he is to have her in his life. The Ndlovu’s bought meat and braaied after the big celebration. Last month the Ndlovu family – who are God-fearing – threw a thanksgiving party for their eight children at their home in Fairbreeze Farm. Dumazi thanked her husband for showing her love and she also urged all other men to show love to their wives.
