SANBS holds ‘Big Bleed’

Donors will be given a token of appreciation after they've made their donations

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is hosting a ‘Big Bleed’ today (December 2) at San Marco Centre.

The ‘bleed’ started at 9am and will end at 6pm.

People are urged to visit the Ladysmith Blood Donor Clinic, next to Pick ‘n Pay, and donate a pint of blood to help save somebody’s life.

Donors will be given a token of appreciation after they have made their donations.

The clinic staff were seen on street corners this morning, promoting the ‘Big Bleed’ by carrying placards and wearing red Christmas hats (and red clothing). Santa Claus was even supporting the cause with them, as well as the SANBS mascot!

If you want to help save a life, you know how! Go to the Ladysmith Blood Donor Clinic and be a ‘hero’ this afternoon!
