BREAKING NEWS: Man stabbed to death in Kirkland Street
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
NEWCASTLE – One man has been killed after an alleged robbery in an open veld, in Kirkland Street, earlier this afternoon.
According to an unofficial source, it is believed the man was walking through the veld when he was robbed and stabbed.

The source claimed the victim’s wallet and cellphone were stolen.
TRIVS operational manager, Jan-Henk van Vuuren was at the scene, and said the victim sustained a stab wound to the chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The victim has been identified by means of his ID book. However, his family has not yet been informed of the incident.”
All emergency personnel are currently at the scene, conducting preliminary investigations.
