Injured goat put to sleep

The goat had been attacked by dogs and was badly hurt

An injured goat was found in open veld in Stevenson Road on Saturday morning (December 31).

The goat had been attacked by dogs and was seriously hurt.

A concerned community member spotted the animal and realising it was in distress, alerted Annamarie Koen of the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL).

League workers immediately went out and took the goat to the vet, with the help of community members.

The animal was ‘put down’ due to the serious injuries it had sustained.
