Meditation liberates the Mohanji Family Group

The Mohanji Family group is a branch of the Mohanji foundation, formed to help people find their true selves and get liberation, through meditation by invoking the energy of Mohanji to remove emotional blockages.

NEWCASTLE CENTRAL – The Newcastle Mohanji Family held a function to thank all members and sponsors for their support, at Souvenirs Hall on January 14 and 15.

Mohanji is a spiritual master from India who explored the extent of his physical, mental and intellectual capabilities, and now aims to elevate as many people as possible to higher consciousness through meditation.

Swami Mohana-Bhaktananda Bharati graced the celebration with his presence, and on January 15 members enjoyed a day in the consciousness of Mohanji.

Swami Mohana-Bhaktananda Bharati, formerly known as Yashik Singh, is from Newcastle, and was initiated by Mohanji approximately two years ago. He joined the organisation in 2013 after meeting Mohanji, who changed his life when he was taught people did not need to conform to society to be happy.

He travelled to India twice and said his experiences were amazing as he had the privilege of meeting powerful saints who shared mystical experiences and proved the world had more to give than one would imagine.

Swami Mohana-Bhaktananda Bharati has a PhD in Medical Informatics, and teaches at a medical school in Durban, but considers being chosen by Mohanji as his disciple to help spread his teachings his greatest achievement.

“People need to realise their happiness is dependent on them. The more negative thoughts you have, the more negativity you allow into your life. We are the cause of our inner turmoil, and to be liberated, we must acknowledge when we are wrong in order to find peace,” said Swami Mohana-Bhaktananda Bharati.

The Newcastle Mohanji Family meets once a week for meditation, and with donations feeds the needy once a month. The group plans to help provide water to rural areas without water facilities.

“Overall the function was a huge success, and it was very exciting to host such an event,” said Ashna Singh, chairperson of the group.
