Othandweni Fellowship visits Inkululeko

THE CONGREGATION of Othandweni Fellowship Centre visited Inkululeko Children’s Home on Saturday as part of their pastor’s birthday celebration.

Pastor Gcinumthetho Mazibuko, who moved into Vryheid from Durban to start his own congregation said that he has always had a soft spot for orphanages and often used to visit these ‘homes’ back in Durban.

“I loved nothing more than to spend my free time with these children and it was always a sad time for me when I had to leave at the end of the day,” said Pastor Mazibuko.

Pastor Mazibuko said that he promised himself that he would one day celebrate his birthday at a children’s home accompanied by his family and this wish came true this year as he got to celebrate his 44th birthday at Inkululeko.

“When I visited Inkululeko for the first time, I was so touched that I decided to go out and seek more assistance from my congregation as well as local stores,” said Pastor Mazibuko.

Clothes, food, and money were donated to the home.

Members of the church enjoyed cake and lots of other treats with the children.

Pastor Mazibuko would like to thank all the members of his church for making the day an amazing one. He would also like to thank all the local shops who made donations.
