Estcourt Hospice hosts a health check

54 people were tested at the market. Donations, which will go towards the Hospice House renovations, were welcomed

The Estcourt Hospice Association set up a tent at the Hospice Valentine’s Craft Market held on Saturday to test locals for tuberculosis, diabetes and staff also did blood pressure checks.

54 people were tested at the market. Donations, which will go towards the Hospice House renovations, were welcomed.

Hospice volunteers invited locals to pop in at the Hospice Charity Shop and also to take part in the raffle.

“The market was a success and we would like to pass a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made a contribution and supported the market, as well as our tea garden. Thank you to the volunteers and Sherlene Gericke for organising the market,” said Estcourt Hospice’s Clinical Manager Rena Licen.
