Loskop murderer is imprisoned

The accused had a grudge against Menzi Ellias Sengwayo, aged 32, which resulted murder

A 44-year-old Amangwe accused was recently sentenced to 15 years imprisonment for murder.

On February 3, Mandla Arron Ndlovu was found guilty of murder and sentenced by the Estcourt Regional Court.

This follows an incident, which happened on February 22, 2015 at about 11.45pm in the Emaqabaqabeni area, Loskop. The accused had a grudge against Menzi Ellias Sengwayo, aged 32, which resulted in Ndlovu committing murder.

The accused armed himself with a firearm and then walked up to Mr Sengwayo, who was seated inside his car, and opened fire on him.
The injured man was rushed to hospital where he subsequently passed away.

Ndlovu was arrested by police and the case was handed to Sergeant Ngcobo of Amangwe Detective Service for investigation, reaching conclusion this month with the sentencing of Ndlovu.
