Cute, cuddly kittens dumped in box outside Ladysmith kennels without their mom…

Opening the gate and walking slowly towards the box, she heard the purring kittens

Annamarie Koen from the Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) was surprised when she found a box containing 5 kittens dumped at her front gate yesterday afternoon (February 28).

Annamarie told the Ladysmith Gazette that she was busy outside when she heard a vehicle wheel-spinning as it sped away from the kennels. Rushing outside, she noticed a small, closed box in front of the AACL gate.

Opening the gate and walking slowly towards the box, she heard the desperate purring of baby kittens.

She immediately tore open the box and found 5 adorable kittens, bewildered and alone, having been torn from their mother.

The kittens are healthy and at the kennels.

“Why did the person just leave them in a box? Don’t be afraid to contact the league if you don’t want your pets, instead of just throwing them away,” says Annamarie.
