Anglican Church organises birthday celebration for Aunty Milly

Congregants and Hospice members gathered at the old age home to celebrate Auntie Milly Hutheram's 92nd birthday.

Happy 92nd birthday to Mildred Hutheram!

We celebrate Auntie Milly Hutheram, a beloved resident of Juana Maria Frail Aged Home, who turned 92 years old on Thursday, May 28.

Auntie Milly is the godmother of Jennifer Rehman , a former educator at Limit Hill Primary School, and we are humbled to share that she is the oldest coloured resident in Ladysmith. Her life has been one of service, faith and dedication to others. She was a volunteer during her lifetime at different organisations in Ladysmith – Hospice being one of them.

To mark this milestone, a special church service was held at Juana Maria Frail Aged Home, led by the Archdeacon and Rector of the All Saints Anglican Church, Reverend Sboniso Khanyile, together with Lay Minister Jennifer Rehman.

Loved ones close to her joined to celebrate this amazing day.

We give thanks, honour and praise to God for His faithfulness in Auntie Milly’s life over 92 years.

She is deeply grateful and appreciative of all the birthday wishes and well wishes sent her way.

When asked what has kept her going all these years, Auntie Milly’s wisdom was simple: “Just be yourself.”

Congratulations, Auntie Milly – may God continue to bless you abundantly.
