OK Value golfers record huge win

In the earlier game of the afternoon, Deb's Embroidery managed to record their first win of the competition.

After five successful and enjoyable weeks of The Business Golf league at Dundee Country Club, the competition now moves into the knock-out stage. Last Wednesday, OK Value recorded the biggest victory margin so far in the competition when they overcame Morning Dew Chickens 46-36. This result saw The Shed go to top of the table as they scraped home against Amabongolo 38-36.

In the earlier game of the afternoon, Deb’s Embroidery managed to record their first win of the competition by beating Farmers Agri-Care 42-35 to leave the latter winless after five games.
This Wednesday sees the two semi-final games being played, with The Shed up against Amabongolo and Morning Dew Chickens getting a chance of a revenge match against OK Value in the other semi-final.
Last Friday’s 10 hole meat competition saw a handful of players taking part and winning the meat voucher was Bertie Venter with 23 individual points.

Saturday’s 4 BBBS competition attracted a reasonable field of 38 players with Jo Khumalo and his partner Cyril Mkhwanazi managing to beat Walter Du Plessis and Sifiso Kunene on a count out, both pairings finishing with 44 points, to win the competition. Hamish Grieson, who also had Jo Khumalo as his partner, came in third place.
Three players managed to record a 2 Club on the day and earn a share of the prize money and they were, D Von Mollendorff on the 12th with both J Botes and J Khumalo recording theirs on the 16th hole.

This week’s fixtures; Wednesday afternoon Business League from 4pm, Friday 10 Hole Meat Competition and Saturday’s Club Competition will be the Monthly Mug Individual Medal for March.
