Don’t miss Armand Hofmeyr live in Newcastle this Saturday!
The talented singer takes to the stage at the Lekker Amajuba Race at 6pm this Saturday, at the Majuba Lodge.
The legacy of Steve Hofmeyr lives on in his son.
Armand, who describes himself as full of energy, a lover of life, a good friend, a bit silly and quite sensitive, takes to the stage on March 4 at 6pm, as part of The Lekker Amajuba Race.
The festivities take place at Majuba Lodge.
Armand’s debut album, Foto’s en Briewe came out in 2010, with its blend of rock and pop interspersed with pulsing dance rhythms.
His next two albums were titled Rug aan Rug and #Lekkerlyf.
Thanks to tracks such as Net as dit reën, Liggies, #Lekkerlyf and English hits New Girl in Joburg and Buy This Guitar, Armand continues to establish himself as a hit-maker.
Many are certain he will remain a constant of the local music world to come.
Armand said he holds his father as inspiration and when not on the stage, admitted to playing the guitar or writing songs.
“After I have written a song, I’ll bounce it off my dad, only for his comments and not to rewrite the song!”
One of his career highlights was performing with his father in Centurion.
If he wasn’t a singer, Armand explained he would like to become a DJ, because of his love of quaking speakers and sound.
“I love socialising, hunting and ‘kuiers’ around the braai fire. One of my life’s mottos is: ‘I’d rather beg for forgiveness than ask for permission’.”
Entrance to The Lekker Amajuba Race is R10 per person, which grants you access to the beer tent, huge inflatables, exhibitions, numerous performers, the Miss Lekker Race pageant, Dirkie’s Fun Farm and more.
Don’t miss out!
