Coordinated security operation in Vryheid ends without any unrest or reported incidents.
Police, together with other law enforcement agencies and security organisations, demonstrated their readiness during a coordinated operation in Vryheid ahead of the planned June 30 protest against illegal immigrants announced by the March and March movement.
Coordinated show of readiness
Officers and security personnel gathered at the SAPS K9 Unit before travelling in a convoy through Vryheid to Mondlo and back, displaying a united front and their ability to respond to any potential incidents.
No unrest reported
The planned protest ultimately did not take place, and no unrest or incidents were reported in the area. Despite this, law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders remained on high alert throughout the day, closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of residents.
