Ntabamhlophe Road collision claims another

Sadly on Tuesday last week 35-year-old Linda Zakwe succumbed to the injuries, which included a severe head injury

On the fatal evening of February 4, three friends and two cousins were involved in a light motor vehicle collision, after the vehicle overturned on the Ntabamhlophe Road.

26-year-old, Jermaine Lite was pronounced dead on scene. Sadly on Tuesday last week 35-year-old Linda Zakwe succumbed to the injuries, which included a severe head injury.

The news of his death hit the community hard following three weeks of medical attention received at the Ladysmith Provincial Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Prior to being admitted at the Ladysmith Provincial Hospital, Linda was at the Estcourt Provincial Hospital after the collision.

Hoping and praying for a recovery, the news of Linda’s death left his family shattered. A funeral service was held on Saturday at Mshayazafe.

He is survived by his mother and father, four sisters, two brothers, fiancée and two sons aged nine and four. The incident is still under investigation.
