DHS claims clean sweep against Estcourt

Girls Hockey
The u/16 and first girls hockey teams travelled to Estcourt to take part in friendly games. Both teams dominated with the u/16’s winning 6-0 and the first team beating their opponents 7-0.
Netball
Drie van ons netbalspanne het Woensdag teen Estcourt gespeel. Die meisies het hul harte uitgespeel en deurgedruk tot die laaste fluitjie geblaas het. Die o/14’s het 18-2 gewen. Die o/16’s het 12-8 gewen. Die 1ste span het ‘n briljante wedstryd gespeel en 51-1 gewen. Die speler van die wedstryd was Mfundo Makhoba, die doel.
Rugby
DHS rugby teams fared well against Estcourt on Wednesday. The u/15’s achieved a well-earned victory of 27-5. The u/16’s had a tough game but managed to win 7-3. The first team won convincingly with 52-3, however, the hosts put up a good fight and in no way made it easy.

Epworth Mudman
Die Epworth Mudman het Sondag, Maart 5 plaasgevind. Saterdagaand het 33 opgewonde leerders op Mev Carter se plaas gekamp. Vroeg Sondagoggend het hulle vol energie en entoesiasme na die Albert Falls dam vertrek om die Mudman aan te durf. Dit was ‘n baie warm dag maar die leerders het dit baie geniet.
The following learners took part in the Individual Half Distance swim: Huzaifah Mahomed, Kwanele Mhlongo, Duane Lauwrens, Dylan Mare and Keaton von Rauenstein. Gabby Carter and Joshua Donaldson took part in the Full Individual Swim.
Gabby did so well she was the first u/18 girl and fifth lady overall!
